This means: 

Being there even if it is inconvenient, expensive, out of the way, not on the schedule, painful. Letting a wrong relationship out of your life to honor and nurture the right ones you already have. Compassion and empathy, even if you don’t like that person very much. Standing up for what’s right even if it is the unpopular decision (ever heard of peer pressure?)

Love is so much more about the other, than ourselves. So much more about what we give, and never about what we get in return. It is not concerned with reciprocity, or acknowledgements, or thank you’s. It just is. Love makes you brave, makes you want to be better, heals you, lets you remember all the good you already have in you.
